Ester Wiesnerova is an internationally active composer, vocalist, and educator, originally from Slovakia. Blue Journal is her debut album as a leader. Since its release in 2022, it has received more than 30 raving reviews worldwide, including magazines such as Jazzwise, DownBeat, The Whole Note etc. Her debut was also on a ballot to be nominated for Grammy Awards in Best Jazz Vocal Album and Best Recording Package categories.

The pediatrician Dr. Martin Gregora is the head of the Pediatrics at the Strakonice Hospital in Prague. In addition to his medical profession, Dr. Gregora has served as a member of the Parliament of the Czech Republic from 2010 to 2013 (TOP). He writes poetry and creates art and will share with us his talents during his brief visit to Boston.

Saturday April 17th from 11 to 12:30, Dr. Jiří Janák from the Czech Institute of Egyptology at Charles University will give a talk to Czech Café, about ancient Egypt. The talk will be in Czech and the target audience are the older students from the Czech School in Boston (12+), but everyone else is invited to attend.  Please share the information with whoever might be interested.
